How do I become a member?

For information call Oak Hill Adaptive Sports & Fitness at (860) 286-3107, and our staff can mail or fax an application to you. Stop in for a tour at 33 Coventry St. Hartford, CT 06112, to learn more about everything Oak Hill has to offer.  No appointment is necessary.


Will you help me get started?

Of Course! Our staff are available every day to ensure that you make the best and most appropriate choices for your fitness and wellness needs. We offer two fitness orientations with one of our Fitness Specialists to go over health history, previous workout experience, goal setting and more! Our staff will write up your own individualized exercise prescription plan and assist you in any way. Talk to one of our fitness specialists today to begin your fitness journey.


Will family members be able to join?

YES! We invite you to bring your family to Oak Hill Adaptive Sports & Fitness to tackle fitness goals together. Family members are eligible to join with you, whether or not they have a physical disability or chronic health condition. Many of our sports programs are also open to siblings/friends who do not have a disability.


What if I need personal assistance in order to participate at Oak Hill Adaptive Sports & Fitness?

If you need assistance with your physical and/or personal care or use of equipment, Oak Hill Adaptive Sports & Fitness is happy to welcome your caregiver as your guest, at no additional charge. Caregivers can be members of your family, friends or assistant. Caregivers should check in with you each visit.


Are there age restrictions to any programs?

Membership is for individuals age six months and up. Some of our programs are designed to meet the needs of specific age groups, but there are many choices for all age groups and ability levels. Members must be 14 years old to exercise in the fitness area.


Will I receive personal attention from the staff?

Yes. We are committed to maintaining the quality personal service you expect.


Is there plenty of parking?

Yes. Our parking lot offers parking that is both convenient and accessible to everyone.


Does Oak Hill Adaptive sports & fitness provide transportation to your facility?

No. However, we are located on the para-transit line as well as a stop on the CT Transit bus route. There are also several private transport companies in the area. Give us a call at (860) 286-3107 for a list of transportation options.

What if I’d like to bring a guest(s)?

We welcome guests. Each guest should fill out a liability waiver and pay a $10 fee for the full facility. Please note that prospective members who want to make a one-time visit as a guest can do so at no cost.


Do you accept insurance?

No, unfortunately Oak Hill Adaptive Sports & Fitness does not work directly with insurance. Many Insurance companies do have fitness reimbursement programs and/or discounts available. We are an approved SilverSneakers and RenewActive fitness location.
